Banner Desert - 1400 S Dobson Road, Mesa AZ, 85202

Schedule:

4 days a week with 10 hour shifts. 7:00am to 5:30pm. (on certain days, possibly 6:00am depending on assigned role for the shift). Rotating on call, weekends and holidays. On call hours are 5:30pm
-7:00am. Must live within a 30-minute drive to the hospital due to strict 30-minute response times when on call.

Nurses must have previous ICU, ER or other procedural area experience. Thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork. Strong critical thinking skills. Able to communicate effectively with multiple team members, providers, and outside departments.

Day to day:
We prep and recover our patients who receive conscious sedation. This includes, starting IVs, drawing labs, assessment and patient education. We are also the procedural nurses in angio, CT and US cases. We will occasionally float to MRI to cover nurse monitor cases or cases done under general anesthesia.

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
