Client Service Coordinator – Banfield Pet Hospitals

Responsibilities
  • Drive the flow of clients and pets through the hospital and maximize the productivity of the veterinary medical team by ensuring smooth client care and efficient operations.
  • Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients and pets, educating them about their pet’s health, and encouraging hospital visits.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services.
  • Assist incoming clients by completing documentation, entering pet information and history, using proper identification, and ensuring prompt service.
  • Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions and invoices, dispensing medications per the veterinarian’s instructions, selling retail products, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following opening and closing procedures.
  • Conduct administrative functions as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education and/or Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography.
  • One year of related experience required; customer service preferred.
  • Medical background or terminology training preferred.

Special Working Conditions
  • Long periods at a computer; able to be confident around pets.
  • Extended hours including weekends/evenings; may exceed 40 hours per week.

  • Exposure to pets, potential hazards, and medications.
