Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour

We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.03 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

The role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met, participates in asset protection, and targets new customer acquisitions. You will work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Pay includes an hourly base wage plus commission based on productivity and bonuses tied to store performance; actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the Store Manager’s absence. Duties also include promoting the business and ensuring strong customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and documentation of loans.
  • Administer processes for inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Maintain operating standards to meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete tasks and training for self-development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profitability objectives.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty when the Store Manager is absent.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting (per applicable laws).
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May assist customers outdoors in the parking lot or retrieve products stored externally.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
