As a fully remote company (even before COVID!), we welcome applicants from almost anywhere. Our team collaborates synchronously mostly from 9 AM–2 PM PT and embraces asynchronous work to stay connected across time zones.

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of full‑stack engineers building Monarch’s core product experience. You’ll drive technical execution across our web and mobile platforms, while also helping to shape our engineering processes during a period of hyper‑growth.

• Lead and mentor a team of full‑stack engineers while remaining hands‑on with code and architecture
• Establish engineering best practices, code quality standards, and development processes that enable rapid iteration while maintaining product reliability
• Partner closely with Product and Design leads to translate product requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Develop technical roadmaps and guide the team in delivering high‑quality solutions
• Participate in recruiting and hiring to build a diverse and talented growth engineering team

• 5+ years of full‑stack development experience with 2+ years in a technical leadership or management role
• You consider yourself "product‑centric" and take pride in building something people love.
• You have superb written and verbal communication skills, with both technical and non‑technical teammates
• You have experience with early‑stage company best practices including rapid iteration with robust metrics and qualitative user feedback.
• Technical vision and ability to balance short‑term delivery with long‑term architectural goals

• Experience with both web and mobile development
• Experience building delightful consumer subscription products
