Adecco has a client hiring for a VACUUM TRUCK OPERATOR with aCLASS A CDL.
Phoenix, Arizona | Full-Time Pay: $30–$34 per hour, based on proven experience
RESPONSIBILITIES- Operate vacuum excavation and hydro-excavation equipment.
- Perform potholing/day lighting of existing utilities.
- Excavate around fiber, electric, gas, water, sewer, and other utilities.
- Remove soil, slurry, debris, and excavated material.
- Operate vacuum pumps, water pumps, boom, hoses, and associated controls.
- Monitor vacuum pressure, water pressure, and tank capacity.
- Position the truck safely at construction sites.
- Support HDD, trenching, and conduit installation crews.
- Assist with utility exposure and verification.
- Transport and dispose of excavated material at approved facilities.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain hoses, pumps, valves and other equipment.
- Document work performed and material disposal.
- Follow OSHA, DOT, company and project-specific safety procedures.
- Maintain safe work zones around the truck and excavation.
- At least two years of Vacuum Truck Operator experience
- Class A CDL and valid medical certificate
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of underground utility construction, crossings and damage prevention
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding work
- OSHA 10 preferred
Final candidates will complete a paid practical field evaluation.
Employment is conditional upon applicable MVR, background, drug-screen, and DOT requirements.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
