Responsible for supporting the Human Resources Management team in the day-to-day administration of the various functional areas of the Human Resources Department, i.e., compliance and non-compliance reporting, data entry, leaves of absence, recruiting, customer service, I-9 Form and background checks.
Job QualificationsMinimum 2 years working experience as a Human Resources Administrator or Specialist with experience in a minimum of two Human Resources administration functions, i.e. recruiting and employee hiring, status changes, reporting, etc. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize projects, be detail oriented, organized, a self-starter, and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise independent judgement.
Must exhibit outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent computer skills to include all Microsoft Office applications, emphasizing intermediate familiarity and applications in Microsoft Excel, and be willing to learn the Company’s HRIS related software. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Act as a go-to H.R. professional for day-to-day employee questions, as well as respond to employees and members of management in a timely and accurate manner ensuring complete follow-through.
- Assists all areas and staff functions of the Human Resources operations, i.e., compliance and non-compliance reporting, data entry, leaves of absence, recruiting, employee relations and customer service.
- Create ad hoc reports and edit data, as needed, in an accurate and concise manner for compliance and non-compliance reporting purposes.
- Completes data entry in HRIS system.
- Provide administrative and technical assistance to management.
- Perform diversified duties in the processing, monitoring and maintaining of employee personnel files.
- A variety of clerical duties as assigned, such as answering telephones and taking accurate messages, opening and distributing mail throughout the day.
- Keep efficient records of all assigned areas of the Human Resources operations.
- Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
- Maintain favorable and effective relations among applicants, team members and guests.
- Take ownership and an ‘It’s my job’ attitude.
- Convey a positive and professional image to applicants, team members and guests.
- Continually identify positive changes to Management that will enhance the department’s functionality.
The work requires some physical exertion such as standing, walking, and sitting, lifting up to 25 pounds, carrying, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment may involve everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions while taking care not to trip or fall. Temperature fluctuates when the doors are open. Moderate to loud noises from equipment in the work area. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
