• Record each sale accurately, promptly and in accordance with company policy and standards.
• Accept payment and make change for merchandise and services; wrap or bag merchandise for customers.
• Maintain a clean and attractive store inside and out, following company policy and management instructions.
• Learn and comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and municipal laws.
• Communicate effectively with associates and customers in English, and maintain amicable relationships with fellow employees.
• Stay informed about product knowledge, promotions, test merchandise, and advertisements.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding location, price, and use of merchandise or services.
• Apply company selling guidelines to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Stock shelves, counters, coolers, or tables with merchandise and follow company procedures.
• Set up advertising or promotional displays to promote sales.
• Accurately receive merchandise from vendors and adhere to company procedure.
• Read, count, and write accurately to complete all documentation.
• Support and implement any policy, change, system, or procedure the company introduces regarding the basic function of the position.
• Work with minimal supervision and handle duties that may include increased stress levels.
• Prepare food and drinks, clean, stock, and maintain food prep areas in compliance with health codes (when applicable).
• Secure all funds in safe or register, make timely drops, and maintain cash drawer at or below maximum level as per company policies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

• Lift up to 50 pounds at 4 feet high and 20 pounds at 5 feet high without assistance.
• Sit or stand for up to an 8‑hour shift while performing job duties.
• Work unaccompanied, standing, and without defined break periods; occasionally work extended shifts over 8 hours.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Work around fumes, odors, chemical agents, and solvents.
• Operate in various temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Maintain balance and climb up to 5 feet on a ladder.
• Freely access all store facilities (sales floor, stocking area, storage area, walk‑in coolers and freezers, register area, fuel islands, landscaping, and car wash facilities).
• Operate and use all equipment necessary for the position.
