• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively and visibly.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various tenders according to company policy.
• Adhere to the company's cash handling limits and work honestly to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and notify maintenance of repairs needed.
• Make customers feel welcome and answer questions about products.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
• Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments.
• Manage conflicts cooperatively and reasonably.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
