Cornerstone Learning Center is looking for a strong, dependable, and motivated Assistant Director who is ready to grow into a leadership role! This position is perfect for someone with childcare experience who is coachable, eager to learn, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families.
This is more than a job—it’s a career pathway. The selected candidate will serve as a Manager-in-Training through August 2026, with hands-on leadership development.
- Support daily operations and ensure compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards
- Help lead and coach teachers to create a positive, team-oriented environment
- Maintain proper staff-to-child ratios and classroom compliance
- Monitor health, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the center
- Build strong relationships with families through professional communication
- Assist with enrollment, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Help train and onboard new staff members
- Step into leadership when the Director is unavailable
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center (required)
- Leadership potential with a willingness to learn and grow
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Must meet all state background check and training requirements
- Structured Manager-in-Training program through August 2026
