Position Title: Process Engineer

Reports To: Process and Engineering Manager
Description:
The Process Engineering team takes responsibility for daily process maintenance, new product development, new process introduction, and system integration of equipment to support mass production and improve process capability for the photovoltaic module assembly facility in Texas.
The Process Engineering team performs duties related to manufacturing processes, product development, product quality, documentation, and operator training.
The ideal candidate will proactively identify opportunities to optimize products, processes, and equipment for manufacturing. The Process Engineering team must possess the capabilities to drive continuous improvement of product quality, processes, and manufacturing costs.
Responsibilities:Experience:
- Engineering degree in a relevant field, e.g.,
B.Eng. (Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent). - 1-3 years of experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer in high-volume manufacturing, preferably in the photovoltaic industry.
- Knowledge of PLC, machine automation, controls, robotics, and machine operations is preferred.
- Proven success in manufacturing process improvement, capacity enhancement, and quality improvement.
- Strong understanding of production line layout, machine operations, line balancing, and product quality.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement tools.
- Background in Quality Control; skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and root cause analysis are preferred.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solid Works is preferred.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-directed with minimal supervision.
