We are seeking a Diet Clerk to work under the direction of the dietitian, performing clinical support tasks related to reviewing and approving therapeutic menu selections. The role also ensures patient trays are accurate and served at appropriate temperatures.

- Review and update physician diet orders in the hospital’s EHR to ensure each patient receives meals matching their prescribed diet.
- Assist patients with menu selections, print and distribute menus, and make substitutions when necessary.
- Communicate diet changes, allergies, and preferences between nursing units, dietitians, and kitchen staff.
- Enter and maintain meal orders, admissions, and discharges in the dietary computer system to keep records accurate.
- Ensure diet accuracy, follow food safety standards, and support quality checks within the nutrition department.
- AA degree in Food Science/Nutrition preferred.
- One (1) year of healthcare experience working with modified diets preferred.
- County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current.
