PURPOSE
Operate feeders, straightners, conveyors, coil reels, dies, presses and other production tooling in the manufacture of blades and blower wheels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Work from blueprints, customer specifications, production schedules, written and verbal instructions
2. Operate punch presses making blade sections, wrap components and set-up and operate assembly presses making wheels; true wheels as required by process.
3. Use micrometers, rulers and other measuring devices in inspection of parts as defined by standard operating procedure and document inspection on provided forms; adjust press slide, counterbalance and other press and auxiliary systems as necessary.
4. Change assembly dies, die components; adjust straighteners, coil reels, and conveyor systems.
5. Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities.
6. Add or update MP 245 tags on containers.
7. Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
8. Process paperwork, labeling, etc. based om work instruction's, work in process, customer specifications, quality audits, and other related requirements.
9. Complete required reports and records.
10. Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
11. Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
