Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position eligible for up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus. Specific work schedule required. Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the pediatric acute and critically ill patient.
- The RN in the Super Pool will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic.
- The RN in the Super Pool will participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement.
- The RN in the Super Pool will maintain high‑quality age‑specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.
- The RN in the Super Pool will support the mission, vision and values of the organization.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- 3‑6 years RN experience in pediatrics according to agreement.
- Must be able to work in 4 of the following areas, 2 of which must be critical care: NICU, PICU, CHSU, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- STABLE must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
