Seasonal Program Details
  • Seasonal PRN status with a Full‑Time schedule, running 9/21/25 to 4/4/26.
  • All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period.
  • Four (4) weekend shifts are required each four‑week schedule period.
  • During the 32‑week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts.
  • Seasonal staff are subject to first call‑off; no guaranteed hours.
  • Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits except 401(k) and retirement contributions per PRN policy.
  • Seasonal staff will not receive extra shift bonuses.
  • Registered Nurses in the program have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
  • Current employees of HWS or current Medical City Dallas employees are not eligible for the seasonal program.
  • Shifts may vary based on department needs.
Compensation

Emergency Department Specialty Rate: $62/hr plus applicable differentials.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
  • Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.
  • Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers; documents the administration of care.
  • Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
  • Teaches patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology.
  • Educates patients and families on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, preparing them for self‑management.
Qualifications Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse credential.
  • Associate Degree.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalents obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
