LVT Pay: $25.60 - $36.80 / hourly
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm
We are looking for the right veterinary technician who has a genuine interest in oncology and has previous veterinary experience - oncology experience is not required. As an Oncology Veterinary Technician at Blue Pearl, you must be proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) and proficient at drawing blood and placing IV catheters.
What You'll Do:- Provide compassionate cancer care for companion animals as part of their initial diagnosis, staging, and treatment (including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, electrochemotherapy, and participation in clinical trials), ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment journey.
- Build strong relationships with pets and their pet parents, guiding them through the emotional aspects of pet care and treatment options.
- Assist our board-certified specialist veterinary oncologists with diagnostics, treatments, and patient monitoring.
- Educate clients on treatment plans, medication administration, and home care needs.

We are a 24-hour emergency and specialty facility, and our in-house specialties include Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Rehabilitation, and Surgery services. Our location offers CT imaging, MRI, digital radiography, ultrasonography, fluoroscopy and endoscopy, an underwater treadmill/hydrotherapy, acupuncture, mechanical ventilator, cold laser therapy, and Extracorporeal Shockwave therapy.

We have several VTS technicians (ECC) and (Anesthesia / Analgesia) who encourage learning and offer VTS training groups, a training and leveling program, and information to keep us all up to date on the latest and greatest in CPR.
