Insurance Auditor

Overview

First Four Staffing has partnered with a reputable organization that is seeking an Insurance Auditor to join their team in Metairie, LA.

The Insurance Auditor will be responsible for investigating, examining, and reporting on the financial and operational characteristics of business operations to accurately determine earned premium. This role requires occasional travel and a strong working knowledge of maritime exposures.

• Review company records to verify classification, operations, locations, and ownership of insureds
• Investigate and confirm premium base exposures in accordance with contract terms and regulations
• Prepare clear and accurate written audit summaries
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, audit manuals, and company guidelines
• Manage assigned territory and audit schedules efficiently
• Monitor audit due dates, follow up on completion, and resolve disputes directly
• Communicate findings effectively and recommend solutions in a timely manner

• Workers’ compensation auditing experience required
• Experience auditing insurance policies for maritime or waterfront employers
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance industry experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Quick Books, and auditing software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with proactive communication and results-driven mindset
• Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
