School Speech Language Pathologist - Metairie, Louisiana

A full-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services in a K‑12 school located in Metairie, LA, with a focus on elementary schools on the west bank. The contract extends through the current school year, starting as soon as possible and ending on 5/22/26. The role requires working onsite with a caseload of students ranging across the K‑12 spectrum, supporting speech and communication development in a school‑based setting.

• Deliver direct speech‑language pathology evaluation and therapy to students within the school setting, following individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective communication interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessment results, and therapy plans in compliance with school policies.
• Participate in meetings, consultations, and trainings related to student needs and program requirements.
• Manage caseload effectively while adhering to the school calendar and designated work hours.

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.
• ASHA certification (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
• Experience working with school‑aged children, preferably at elementary levels.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.

• Schedule:
  
  Full‑time, 35 hours per week; typically 7 hours per day plus a 30‑minute unpaid lunch, Monday through Friday according to the school calendar.
