• Lead and oversee all mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to execution and closeout.
• Develop engineering design specifications, calculations, and drawings for offshore brownfield asset retirement activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigation measures associated with decommissioning activities.
• Review and evaluate vendor proposals and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications.
• Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party contractors to address technical inquiries, resolve engineering issues, and facilitate project approvals.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID sessions to ensure effective communication and coordination among project teams.
• Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that all engineering activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification required; willing to consider candidates who can test for PE certification within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, with a focus on offshore oil and gas projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, analysis, and optimization of offshore facilities, including platforms, pipelines, and subsea infrastructure.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as AutoCAD, CAESAR II, and PDMS/AVEVA.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with attention to detail and high-quality engineering solutions.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and standards governing offshore decommissioning activities, including API, ISO, and OSHA requirements.
• Willingness to travel to offshore facilities and project sites as needed to support engineering activities and project execution.
