JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing improvement projects, and/or provide diagnostic subject matter expertise to enhance the overall reliability, efficiency, and safety of the plant.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES- Conduct root cause analysis and prepare reports for management use
- Provide primary or backup technical support for various plant system and processes
- Utilize experience, knowledge, and online monitoring systems and tools to analyze, trend, and monitor plant equipment performance data in an effort to improve plant operation
- Provide technical support to maintenance, outage, and capital projects
- Technical Lead on specific / complex projects
- Support equipment problem solving, condition assessments, and represent Entergy during OEM discussions or shop repairs. May engage in the review of diagnostic services (vibration analysis, off-line motor testing, Infra-red, performance testing, vacuum leak-detection, etc.) done by a 3rd party.
Minimum Education
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or B.S. Degree in Science in a technical field
- Tech Support Specialist I: 0-2 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
- Tech Support Specialist II: 2-4 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
- Tech Support Specialist III: 4-6 years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
- Tech Support Specialist Sr: 6+ years of power plant or relevant technical experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in all applications of the Microsoft Toolkit
- Must possess good computer skills
- Ability to work independent of direct supervision
- Good communication skills also required
- Duties often require call outs and work after normal hours
- Be able to keep records and reports
