• Prepare patients and perform diagnostic echocardiograms on all ages, from newborn to adult, including M‑Mode, 2D, Doppler, transesophageal, epicardial, intracardiac, and fetal studies.
• Create preliminary reports for cardiologists and ensure accurate data delivery.
• Identify normal and abnormal cardiac and extracardiac anatomy, recognizing simple and complex congenital heart defects independently.
• Monitor supplies, perform routine departmental maintenance, and order necessary inventory.
• Assist with special projects, policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate new equipment and recommend improvements.
• Ensure room and equipment cleanliness throughout the day.
• Engage in quality assurance reviews, preventive maintenance, and quality improvement activities per IAC standards.
• Participate in research projects, data collection, and educational presentations as directed.
• Precept new staff members under general guidance.

• Registered through ARDMS or CCI as a medical sonographer or cardiac sonographer.
• ARDMS Pediatric registry or CCI congenital cardiac sonographer registry required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA.
• Continuing medical education per ARDMS/IAC requirements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills.

Registered through ARDMS or CCI. ARDMS Pediatric registry or CCI congenital cardiac sonographer registry required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
