Medical Assistant

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role with primary responsibilities including patient vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, and front office duties. Experience with insurance and verification of benefits (VOB) is valued. Knowledge of exercise programs is a plus.

• Use a multi-line phone system to answer and route calls
• Follow up with patients about progress and address concerns
• Refer non-routine or complex requests to the appropriate staff
• Maintain exceptional patient service by greeting patients and upholding standards
• Monitor daily inventory of clinical and office supplies
• Scan and upload documents to patient files
• Train staff on daily procedures when requested by the office manager or physician
• Support clinic marketing efforts to promote profitability and success

• Obtain patient vitals, perform EKG, and phlebotomy
• Administer IM injections
• Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain results
• Assist with referrals to other healthcare professionals
• Document patient progress notes in EMR
• Conduct follow-up calls to discuss progress
• Perform other clinical duties as required

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Medical Assistant certification
• Front office experience, including insurance and verification of benefits (VOB)
• Clinical experience in EKG and phlebotomy
• Prior experience and training in exercise (a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
