St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Metairie, LA seeks a Development Associate to begin immediately. The mission of St. Martin’s Episcopal School is to prepare students to thrive in college and in life through faith, scholarship, and service. Founded in 1947, St. Martin’s is a co‑educational independent day school. The Development Associate is a professional fundraising position reporting to the Director of Institutional Advancement.
- Support the department's Comprehensive Fundraising Plan: Work with the Director of Institutional Advancement to help implement the comprehensive fundraising plan, focusing on the annual fund and special events. This includes identifying and cultivating prospective donors across various constituencies.
- Work with the Saints Community Organization (SCO): Plan and execute special events such as the fall Golf Tournament and Spring Gala to engage donors and raise funds. Collaborate with the Director, Head of School and Board of Directors to develop fundraising goals and strategies aligned with the school’s mission.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Alumni Teams: Develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials. Create donor recognition programs and targeted appeals that drive donations.
- Work as needed with the Board of Directors and Head of School: Collaborate closely with the Advancement Committee to develop fundraising strategies and goals. Present fundraising plans and performance metrics to the Board and align activities with the strategic plan.
- Monitor and Analyze Fundraising Data: Track donor engagement, retention rates, revenue streams, and adjust strategies based on data analysis to meet fundraising goals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nonprofit Management or Related Field: Required.
- Minimum of 5 Years Experience in Nonprofit Fundraising: Experience in major gifts, campaigns, corporate and foundation giving, special events, and the donor cycle.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
Skills:
Ability to craft compelling donor communications and marketing materials. - Strong Leadership and Management
Skills:
Experience managing teams of volunteers and professionals, setting goals and motivating staff. - Demonstrated Ability to Work Collaboratively: Build relationships with colleagues, Board members and volunteers.
- Experience with Fundraising Software and Donor Databases: Proficiency with systems such as Donor Perfect and online fundraising platforms.
