Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN with EPIC experience, ONS chemotherapy certification, and a valid LA or compact RN license.

• Work in a hospital-based Oncology unit
• Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Weekend shifts may be required, including coverage for Mardi Gras holidays
• Float within MS Oncology and other Med/Surg units as needed
• Patient ratio typically 1:5 to 1:6
• Typical procedures include bone marrow biopsy, central line management, and blood and bone marrow transplants
• EPIC EMR is used and experience is required
• No on-call requirements
• Provide oncology nursing care, including administration of chemotherapy and support for bone marrow procedures
• Must limit requested time off between 2/13 and 2/22 due to Mardi Gras staffing needs
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the schedule
• Adheres to strict policies regarding requested time off
• Dress code and scrub requirements are facility standard

• Active LA or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Oncology RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Preferred certification: CPI
• 75 mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• Any permanent employee at the facility must be gone for at least 1 year to be considered for travel
