Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a LA or compact license and proficiency in Epic for night shifts including weekend coverage.

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Primary patient ratio is 1:2, occasionally flexing to 1:3
• Required to float to all ICUs and may float to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients
• Occasional floating to MS/PCU units with patient ratios up to 1:4
• Nurses perform all lab sticks, EKGs, and line starts
• Uses equipment including Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, Edwards cardiac monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill Rom Beds, Pyxis, and Veratron Bladder Scanner
• Uses Epic EMR and experience is required
• Night shift position (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00)
• Weekend shifts required: 4 per 4-week schedule
• No call required
• RTO is limited to 5 days total
• Must adhere to a 75 mile radius rule
• Returning permanent employees must have been gone for at least 1 year from any LCMC facility
• No first time travelers accepted for this position
• Expected to cover all assigned holidays as needed

• Active LA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS required (CPI can be obtained onsite)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to care for COVID-19 and isolation patients
• Must know N95 mask size
