Operations Administrator

Bedford

Salary:
Up to £28,000 + Excellent Benefits

Mon-Fri Days (Fully in office)

Are you an organised and proactive administrator with experience supporting operations, production, or project teams? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective coordination are key? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Administrator to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business in Bedford.

The Role
  • Providing administrative and coordination support to the Head of Operations and supporting departments.
  • Maintaining accurate operational, order, and delivery information within the ERP/business management system.
  • Monitoring aftermarket order progress, key milestones, and outstanding actions.
  • Supporting project, procurement, and production teams with reports, trackers, and status updates.
  • Identifying potential delays, issues, or information gaps and escalating them where necessary.
  • Assisting with operational, project, procurement, and production meetings.
  • Managing action trackers and ensuring follow-up actions are completed on time.
  • Coordinating information between departments to improve workflow and visibility.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operational processes and reporting.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely information is available to support operational decision-making.
The Candidate

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in an Operations Administrator, Project Administrator, Production Administrator, Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering, OEM, or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting operational, production, procurement, or project teams.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP or business management systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Desirable:
    Experience using Power Query and/or Power BI.
