Senior Quantity Surveyor

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy project team on a long-term contract basis. This role has been created to support the commercial function during a period of increased workload and will provide critical support through the pre-construction and delivery phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities Commercial management of major subcontract packages. Administration of subcontract accounts under NEC3 Option A contracts. Management of subcontract payments, variations, compensation events and change control. Cost forecasting, budgeting and reporting. Preparation of cost/value reconciliations and commercial reports. Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors. Negotiation and agreement of subcontractor final accounts. Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities. Maintaining accurate commercial records and contractual documentation.

Supporting project teams to ensure successful commercial delivery. Essential Requirements Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities environments. Extensive experience managing high-value subcontract packages. Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Option A contracts. Experience in subcontract administration, change management and final account settlement. Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills. Strong reporting, forecasting and negotiation abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Requirements Experience managing large groundworks, steelwork or building package contracts Background working on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects. Working knowledge of CEAR software for subcontract administration. Experience working within multi-disciplinary project teams.
