Position Purpose

• - Supporting students with toileting and feeding needs;some students may require physical transfers; supporting instruction and implementing programs/lesson plans created by the Special Education Teacher; escorting students to and from pick up/drop off locations during arrival and dismissal; supporting and implementing behavior plans as directed by BCBA and/or classroom teacher.

Qualifications

• - High school diploma required with associates degree or higher preferred
• - Experience working with children/students
• - Experience assisting in program implementation
• - Ability to work with professional staff
• - Outstanding preparation and/or experience may be substituted for some of the above qualifications.

Additional Duties:

• - Support students with disabilities in inclusive and substantially separate settings
• - Needs to assist with a behavior plan implementation
• ?
  - Provide academic support as needed
• - May need to support feeding and toileting need
• - Monitoring for attention, work completion and social navigation
• -Perform duties as assigned by school administration
• - Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher
