Responsibilities
  • Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
  • Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager the pharmacy as their proxy during bench shifts, strengthening performance measures through coaching.
  • Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the sole or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
  • Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and coaching the team to do the same.
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations and support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, following best practices and protecting cold‑chain products.
  • Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues as needed.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, write pharmacy schedules as directed.
  • Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, seeking opportunities to expand knowledge.
  • Support access to care through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as COVID/Flu and hormonal contraception where permissible.
  • Understand and comply with all federal, state, professional, and ethical standards, protecting patient safety and privacy.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located.
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Essential Functions
  • Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
  • Attention and Focus:
    • Concentrate on task over time.
    • Pivot quickly from task to task to meet patient and business needs.
    • Confirm prescription information and label accuracy.
  • Customer Service and Team Orientation:
    • Actively look for ways to help people in a friendly manner.
    • Notice and understand patients’ reactions and respond appropriately.
  • Communication

    Skills:
    • Use and understand verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues.
    • Active listening: give full attention, ask questions, and avoid interrupting.
  • Mathematical Reasoning:
    • Use math to solve problems such as determining total tablets to dispense.
  • Issue Resolution:
    • Identify challenging interactions and choose best action.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Mobile and remain upright for extended periods.
    • Lift, scan, bag items, reach overhead, and perform repetitive finger movements.
    • Perform tasks up to 20 lbs with occasional lifts of 10 lbs.
    • Adjust machines precisely and communicate instructions accurately.
  • Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1‑2 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
  • Ability to work at other locations across the market as business needs require.
