Blue Skies Behavioral Health Services (Blueskies Wellness, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit mental health clinic serving children, adolescents, and adults. The organization is dedicated to promoting emotional wellness and reducing aggression in school and community environments. Blue Skies partners with individuals, school systems, youth-based recreational clubs, and other agencies to deliver accessible, high-quality care. Services include individual and family clinical therapy, consulting, training, and advocacy, with a focus on collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practices.

Role Description

The LICSW Mental Health Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Methuen, MA. The counselor will provide individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults, using evidence-informed treatment approaches aligned with client needs and agency standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and coordinating care with schools, community partners, and other providers.

The role also involves case management activities, participation in clinical team meetings and supervision, contribution to outreach or training initiatives, and adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. The counselor will support a safe, inclusive environment and actively participate in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care.
  • Strong foundation in Mental Health and Psychology, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-informed interventions.
  • Experience with Relationship Counseling, family systems work, and supporting interpersonal and school/community dynamics.
  • Active LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain), in good standing.
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in community or outpatient mental health settings.
  • Ability to maintain clear, timely clinical documentation and manage a balanced caseload.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive, trauma-informed care; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities; comfort working with schools and community agencies.
