This role leads and develops a team of warehouse professionals while driving process improvement and operational excellence across GMP and non-GMP facilities.

You will provide hands‑on leadership, balancing daily operational management with long‑term planning and process optimization. Acting as a key connector between warehouse staff, management, and internal stakeholders, you ensure smooth communication, alignment, and delivery of safe, efficient, and high‑quality service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse staff, providing clear direction, setting expectations, and ensuring team alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee inventory management processes with a focus on improving accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts of GMP raw materials and single-use components upon client request; reconcile results with the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate the inter‑facility movement of materials across all Tobin Scientific locations.
  • Support GMP operations including receiving incoming materials, performing weekly inventory checks, and managing material storage (stocking, rotating, and segregating as needed).
  • Provide operational support across both GMP and non‑GMP facilities within the Billerica campus.
  • Lead GMP quality‑related functions such as deviations, risk assessments, and CAPAs.
  • Issue GMP‑controlled documents to support operational activities.
  • Manage the disposal or transfer of expired materials in accordance with client directives.
  • Ensure warehouse areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and compliant manner.
  • Verify accurate inventory transactions within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and company goals.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Oversee training programs for staff, ensuring that all team members are up to date with required skills, compliance standards, and operational procedures.
  • Enhance training programs to support ongoing growth and compliance.
  • Track and report team performance metrics, including productivity, accuracy, and compliance adherence.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate priorities, share updates, and address challenges.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching team members for performance improvements, and supporting career development goals.
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet operational demands.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration and accountability.
Required Qualifications
  • Successful track record of 5+ years in operations management, preferably within a logistics, laboratory or warehousing environment
  • Strong leadership and people management with the ability to motivate and guide large teams
  • Experience problem‑solving in complex environments and resolving escalations effectively
  • Excellent communicator (in‑person and written) and collaborator
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Life Science, or related field
