Milton School is seeking to appoint six dedicated Achievement Support Assistants to join our committed staff team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is flexible, and is enthusiastic about supporting students' learning and well-being.
About the RoleAs an Achievement Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other staff to support students in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning. You’ll provide both one-to-one and small group support, ensuring every child can access the curriculum and make good progress.
Key Responsibilities- Support the learning and progress of students across a range of subjects
- Work with students with additional needs to help them access lessons and build confidence
- Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
- Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Works well in a team but can also use their initiative
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
