We are searching for a compassionate and dedicated School Based Therapist to join our Youth Community Programs Team. In this role, you will provide behavioral health treatment services within school settings to students who have been referred for services, with parental or guardian consent. Your responsibilities will include individual and group therapies, as well as consultation and psycho‑education upon school request.

School Based Therapist
Key Tasks And Responsibilities- Following school referral with eligibility determined and with parental/guardian consent, provide initial evaluation and assessment of student and make recommendations for treatment and referral, as appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, defining plan of service and interventions. Update treatment plans as appropriate.
- Provide individual, family and/or group therapy according to student’s treatment needs. May also provide psycho‑education as requested by the school.
- Properly document all services provided in electronic health record, meeting all documentation guidelines and ensuring all records are maintained in a confidential manner, meeting all appropriate HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements.
- Develop and maintain good working relationship with school personnel, including coordinating services with school personnel as appropriate and providing consultation, as requested, to school personnel.
- Provide education and outreach activities to school and community as appropriate.
- Maintain records of consumer contacts as defined by the organization to fulfill reporting and quality improvement requirements.
- Maintains productivity expectations, as established.
- Treats students, family members, school personnel and other staff with dignity and respect.
- Maintains good relationships with referral sources and other departments in the organizations.
- Provides crisis intervention services or coordinates with ACI (Access Crisis Intervention) staff to provide those services for current therapy clients.
- Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- Has knowledge of trauma‑informed treatment and practices, as well as sensitivity to cultural diversity.
- Is detail‑oriented to ensure both safety and quality of services provided.

- Has knowledge of youth mental health diagnoses, treatment practices and interventions.
- Has knowledge of general public education/school processes and values.
- Has good relationship skills including problem solving, conflict resolution, developing collaborative relationships, risk management and assessment skills.
