Purpose of Role
Lead the execution of the Global Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring alignment between Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance functions. Drive decision‑making through integrated business planning, scenario development, risk management, and performance insights to ensure delivery of service, inventory, financial, and growth objectives.
Responsibilities- Lead the end‑to‑end monthly Global S&OP process, ensuring timely completion of all planning activities and governance forums.
- Coordinate inputs across regions and functions to establish a single aligned business plan.
- Facilitate Demand, Supply and Weekly S&OE meetings.
- Ensure decisions, actions, and accountabilities are captured and executed.
- Govern adherence to S&OP standards, milestones, and planning calendar.
- Challenge assumptions and planning inputs from regional through Global Demand Review.
- Capture and socialize gaps between demand, supply and financial forecast supported by action plans.
- Facilitate trade‑off discussions and decision‑making across functions.
- Escalate unresolved issues and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Drive accountability for actions and commitments resulting from the S&OP process.
- Translate complex planning information into concise executive recommendations.
- Prepare materials for Global S&OP, LTDP, Budget, GLT, and Board reviews.
- Provide forward‑looking insights on performance risks and opportunities.
- Lead root‑cause analysis of planning variances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Own S&OP‑related KPIs including forecast accuracy, forecast bias, inventory performance, service levels, portfolio efficiency.
- Monitor planning effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve decision quality.
- Drive consistency and discipline across regional planning teams.
- Build strong relationships with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics leaders.
- Influence stakeholders without direct authority to achieve business objectives.
- Coach and support regional planning teams on S&OP best practices.
- Act as deputy to the Global Senior Planning Manager when required.
- Expert knowledge of S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management.
- Strong ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across functions and regions.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional decision‑making in a matrix organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business actions.
- Experience in scenario planning, risk management, and performance management.
- Strong facilitation and executive communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of SAP IBP/APO or equivalent planning platforms.
- Proven track record of driving planning performance and continuous improvement.
- 7+ years of Supply Chain Planning, S&OP, or IBP experience in a global environment.
