We are seeking a dedicated Private Montessori Tutor to join our team in Miami Beach, FL. This is a part-time, on-site role working directly with children in their home environments. The tutor will provide academic support, foster Montessori learning experiences, and create personalized learning plans that respect the child’s pace and unique developmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Guide children through Montessori lessons across core domains (Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, Culture & Sciences, Grace & Courtesy).
- Develop individualized lesson plans tailored to each child’s learning journey.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Create a supportive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
- Model Montessori values of patience, independence, and self-discipline.
- Montessori Certification (AMI/AMS or equivalent) — Required, non-negotiable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience (Montessori background strongly valued).
- Patience, adaptability, and ability to follow the child’s interests.
- Passion for motivating and inspiring a love of learning.
- Montessori Certification (mandatory).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in education.
- Must have a valid driver’s license AND a reliable car (non-negotiable).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to work as an independent contractor.
- Must be willing to sign a Non-Compete Agreement and NDA to uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and protect the owner’s best interest.
