The Sales & Service Banker is responsible for servicing client needs and supporting the delivery of banking products and services within the banking center. The role contributes to achieving individual and team goals through client service, account servicing, and referral activities, while performing transaction processing and operational duties. Provides support across assigned locations to ensure efficient banking center operations, maintain compliance with established policies and procedures, and deliver a consistent client experience.

• Consistently meets and/or exceeds assigned individual and team goals.
• Responsible for servicing clients and opening account referrals for larger branches.
• Proactively seeks ways to develop and expand client relationships in order to contribute towards the Bank’s success.
• Develops and maintains a prospect list of potential clients through identifying cross-selling opportunities.
• Supports the retention and growth of Banking Center team goals by assisting with client retention and deepening existing relationships.
• Develops deposit and loan relationships, via client referrals.
• Identifies client needs and will coordinate/refer to other lines of business as needed including meeting referral goal expectations.
• Well versed in all Bank products and services to ensure relationship building opportunities and maintains strong relationships with current clients.
• Works closely with lines of business and internal departments to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Opens and processes all types of accounts, products and/or services for clients after consulting with them on their specific needs.
• Handles general client inquiries.
• Ensures completion of required client identification and due diligence documentation in accordance with KYC, CIP, and BSA/AML requirements.
• Reconciles client statements, confers with operations personnel regarding discrepancies in balances and other problems and works toward the proper maintenance of the account files.
• Services all client account needs, including accepting deposits, cashing checks within policy limits, processing withdrawals, handling negotiable instruments (including travelers checks and cashier’s checks), and accepting loan payments.
• Cross trained in all paying, receiving and collection functions including cash handling.
• Accurately processes transactions, adheres to strict security measures and balancing procedures.
• May provide loan support functions, such as helping prepare prescreen memos and loan documentation scanning with the guidance from Business Banker.
• Makes overdraft pay/return decisions in accordance with established authority limits, procedures, and required approvals.
• Ensures compliance with the Bank’s operational and security policies and procedures to maintain accounting integrity and safeguard assets.
• Provides assistance in completing Requests for information (RFIs) from the BSA department as needed.
• Completes general ledger entries and balances transactions accurately in accordance with established procedures and internal controls.
• Responsible for opening and closing the banking center in accordance with assigned schedules and established operational and security procedures.
