PositionResponsibilities
- Verifies physician orders against patient charts and requisitions in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Ensures accurate patient and test identification, including name, location, date, time, and technician .
- Performs diagnostic studies at the bedside, in the department, and throughout the hospital as requested.
- Selects and utilizes appropriate transducers based on patient anatomy and exam requirements.
- Identifies normal and abnormal findings and documents preliminary impressions of observed pathology.
- Ensures study quality and completeness to support accurate diagnosis.
- Communicates abnormal findings promptly to the ordering physician.
- Demonstrates proficiency in performing non-invasive vascular procedures.
- Addresses patient needs and provides care based on individual assessments and prescribed treatment plans.
- Reviews and completes physician orders and patient charges accurately and timely.
- ARDMS registered or eligible or CCI credentialed
- High School diploma or equivalent/Technical school preferred
- 1 year experience or graduate technical school
- Lead opportunity
- Applicant must be registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) with 8+ years of clinical ultrasound experience and / or knowledge / proficiency in advanced ultrasound procedures. Minimum 5 years of Vascular experience or Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification. Must be capable to "independently" perform advanced US-Vascular procedures (PVRs, ABIs).
