BI Analyst

Role Overview

Join a growing 4-person BI team at a fast-expanding community bank. Own the design, development, and delivery of reporting, dashboards, and insights using the bank’s Microsoft stack and Jack Henry core banking system. Focus on proactive problem-solving, data integration, and enabling data-driven decisions across the organization as customer volume and complexity increase.

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for operations, risk, lending, deposits, and executive leadership
• Write complex SQL queries and develop ETL processes (primarily SSIS) to pull and transform data
• Integrate new data sources into the reporting environment when required (light system integration work)
• Partner with business units to translate requirements into actionable reporting solutions
• Continuously improve data accuracy, performance, and usability of BI assets
• Support ad-hoc analysis and regulatory reporting needs

• Real banking industry experience (community bank, regional bank, or credit union strongly preferred)
• Hands-on experience with Jack Henry core banking systems (Silver Lake, CIF 20/20, Core Director, Symitar, or Episys)
• 3–7 years as a BI Analyst / Data Analyst in a Microsoft environment

• Advanced SQL (writing and performance tuning)
• Power BI (dashboard design, DAX, data modeling)
• ETL development (SSIS required; other tools a plus)
• Ability to extract and work with data from core banking platforms (especially Jack Henry)

• Proactive “figure it out” attitude
• Strong communication — can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable in a small, growing team where everyone wears multiple hats

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with strong relevant experience.
