Job Summary

Job Summary: MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL 100% and must have experience with building out hyperscale data centers (not managing them after the build out). IES is seeking an experienced Project Manager with hyperscale data center experience. This is a 100% travel position for a career role leading a team of professionals. The Project Manager is the overall manager for assigned projects and ensures that all contracted work is developed, implemented, installed and managed in accordance with the Company's safety, quality, management and financial performance requirements.

All aspects of the assigned project(s) should be carried out efficiently with respect to staffing, materials management, financial management, customer care and customer delivery goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, manage, supervise, promote, discipline and discharge project staff as needed; effectively manage human resource issues per Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to meet customer and Company goals and objectives.
  • Manage workload distribution and monitor customer delivery and job installation progress.
  • Plan for, manage, monitor and maintain project profitability to achieve Company goals.
  • Review job cost postings for accuracy and completeness, including invoicing, customer collections and periodic financial reporting.
  • Manage quality and safety issues on customer work.
  • Participate in and/or facilitate the bid process.
  • Act as Company liaison for interface with customer representatives.
  • Create, develop and implement account process improvements.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Min USD $80,000.00/Yr. Max USD $/Yr.
Qualifications

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to lead others to create, develop and implement project process improvements.
  • Promote the Company culture and mission to employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within branch and/or regional territory as needed.
  • Ability to learn Company and customer project management systems.
  • Ability to secure and maintain a Company-sponsored American Express Card.
  • Proficiency with trade tools listed in original description.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED;
    Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • RCDD certification preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience; minimum of five (5) years in telecommunications or related technical/construction field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and define a project scope, tasks and successful completion.
  • Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience.
Travel and Employment Details

100 percent travel; this is a full-time role located in environments requiring travel to projects.
