We’re Looking for a Pantry CookThe Pantry Cook is responsible for the preparation, production, and presentation of fresh desserts and cold items made in-house. This role supports daily service, events, and banquets by ensuring consistent quality, proper food handling, and visually appealing dessert offerings in line with the hotel/restaurant standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare and produce fresh desserts, pastries, cakes, mousses, tarts, and cold preparations according to recipes and standards.
- Assist with plating and presentation for service, events, and banquets.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry and pastry station at all times.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards (HACCP / Serv Safe).
- Properly label, store, and rotate products following FIFO procedures.
- Assist with prep for special events, banquets, and seasonal menus.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and service team to ensure timely execution.
- Monitor inventory and report low stock or product needs to the supervisor.
- Support the Executive Chef or Pastry Chef with new dessert ideas when needed.
- Minimum of 1 year of similar roles and nature.
- Previous experience as a Pantry Cook, Pastry Cook, or Pastelero (hotel or restaurant experience preferred).
- Basic knowledge of pastry techniques and dessert preparation.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic.
This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.
