Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Grounds Manager to lead our grounds crew in all aspects of landscape maintenance, sports field upkeep, equipment management, and team training. This role is based in Miami Gardens, FL
, and is ideal for a proactive leader with strong turf management experience and a passion for maintaining high-quality outdoor environments.
$75,000 annual salary (US Dollars)
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.

Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead the grounds crew in daily operations, including landscaping, turf care, and sports field maintenance.
- Develop and implement training standards; conduct regular team meetings and daily start‑up/closing briefings.
- Manage work orders, scheduling, payroll, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Oversee the care and maintenance of sports fields (baseball, softball, soccer), ensuring professional‑grade conditions.
- Operate and maintain grounds‑related equipment; ensure proper use and safety compliance.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds and equipment; recommend and implement improvements.
- Support special events and campus clean‑up projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety among staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of grounds maintenance experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong background in sports field management is required.
- Certificate or degree in landscape design, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid Florida driver’s license; CDL Class B is a plus.
- Physically able to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
- Hands‑on knowledge of grounds equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ability to plan, assign, and supervise daily tasks and long‑term projects.
- Experience with turf care, irrigation systems, tree/shrub maintenance, and pest control.
- Willingness to respond to emergency situations and work flexible hours as needed.
The Grounds Manager is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring all team members follow safety protocols. This includes proper use of PPE, equipment safety, and hazard awareness.
