Location:
Miami, FL (relocation benefits unavailable).
- Interview and assess customer needs and provide appropriate services or referrals.
- Evaluate education, training, and experience; register applicants in the system.
- Provide instruction and assistance using the Information System and other computer data programs.
- Refer customers to job openings, training opportunities, and employment related services; determine eligibility for special programs.
- Provide individual or group counseling/guidance services, employability skills, and labor‑market information.
- Record information in writing or electronically.
- Process job orders from employers, compile job descriptions, code openings by occupation and industry, and file search orders for qualified applicants while adhering to veterans' preference and federal contractor requirements.
- Monitor job openings and verify referral results with employers.
- Make phone calls to employers to promote office programs and establish job‑development contacts.
- Provide personalized services for recruiting‑agreement employers, maintain interest‑card files, arrange and schedule testing requests, and administer and score the General Aptitude Test Battery when required.
- Effective communication—verbal, written, and in group settings.
- Data collection methods.
- Principles and techniques of effective customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
- Understanding and application of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Effective interview conduct.
- Tactful, courteous public interaction.
- Data recording, collection, evaluation, and analysis.
- Independent planning, organizing, and coordinating of work assignments.
- Listening, reading comprehension, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with occasional supervision.
- Presentation skills in group or individual settings.
- Team collaboration across inter‑organizational boundaries.
- Level 2 security background screening required (fingerprinting and law‑enforcement record check).
- Occasional local travel; infrequent outside‑county travel may be required.
- Must possess or obtain Tier 1 certification as a Workforce Professional within one year of employment.
