Senior Software Engineer, Core - Miami Gardens

Overview

Speechify is the easiest way to listen to the world’s information. Our Core Experiences Team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. This role is for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, designs clear, reliable APIs, and builds simple systems that enhance the user experience.

• Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, manage scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs for different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK
• Optimize existing functionality to enable faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin

• Speed: you generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time

• Preferred Tech Stack:
  • Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable, role is Kotlin Multiplatform)
  • Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus

Salary range for this role is ,000 USD per year + Bonus + Stock, depending on experience
