Tax Accountant

Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $/yr

Our client is a growing CPA firm looking to add more clients. To do this, they are adding a Tax Accountant who is career-driven, detail-oriented, and motivated to make a lasting impact. This role offers the chance to take on meaningful client responsibilities, grow within the firm, and develop along a potential manager or partner track if that is your goal!

• Manage client engagements from planning through completion, including budgeting, deadlines, and client expectations.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior associates on client projects.
• Prepare complex individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns.
• Provide tax planning services, including estimated payment calculations.
• Identify tax savings opportunities and support the review process.
• Research and resolve tax issues; draft tax memos or client letters as needed.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required;
  Master’s degree (or in progress) preferred.
• CPA license (or actively pursuing) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in public accounting, primarily in Tax.
• Strong understanding of corporate, individual, and partnership tax compliance and planning.
• Proficiency in tax and accounting software such as Quick Books, Excel, and other tax software is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
