* THE ROLE:

** The Staff Accountant - Venues role is responsible for supporting and overseeing accounting functions for venues across the LATAM market (includes Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Peru and more!)
** WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
*** Ensure South America financial statements comply with US GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements (SOA/SOX compliance).
* Reconcile Latin America event P&Ls and show settlements, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
* Support local teams and the South America finance group with corporate reporting, including monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations to third-party systems.
* Perform general ledger reconciliations, analyze variances and investigate discrepancies to ensure integrity of financial data.
* Prepare and post month-end journal entries in accordance with corporate deadlines.
* Maintain, monitor, and reconcile accounts ranging from basic to moderately complex, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness.
* Assist with quarterly reporting, internal audits and special projects assigned by management.
** WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
*** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, CPA candidate preferred
* 1-3 years’ comparable work experience
* Bilingual – professional language - English/Spanish requirement, Portuguese a plus.
* Previous experience in venues, hospitality, retail accounting nice to have
* Strong Excel skills
* Quality problem solving and communication skills
* Oracle experience a plus
* Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
