Accounting Manager

Overview

Job: Accounting Manager (4 days in office; 1 day remote)

Compensation: Base + Bonus + Equity

We’re seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for a small U.S. distribution operation. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day transactions, month-end close activities, and financial reporting, while working closely with operational teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Manage and record daily transactions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets
• Oversee month-end close activities such as payroll journal review, accruals, depreciation, bank reconciliations, and inventory reconciliations
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure proper transaction booking, accruals, and provisions
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time to produce reliable financial reports
• Prepare and reconcile payroll tax filings
• Handle the preparation and filing of company tax returns
• Ensure financial records remain compliant with relevant regulations
• Perform project costing and support project accounting as needed
• Manage the annual financial audit process with external auditors
