We are working with a growing real estate company specializing in property management, acquisitions, and development. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest level of financial accuracy and transparency. We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and support our expanding portfolio.
Position OverviewThe Junior Staff Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and support the month-end close process. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and an interest in real estate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports
- Coordinate with property managers and internal departments to gather necessary documentation
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and industry standards
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (real estate or property management experience is a plus)
- Understanding of GAAP principles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Quick Books, App Folio) is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
