Seasonal Business Tax Associate – Intuit

You will be working toward advancing our goal by providing expert guidance, tax preparation, and explanations of tax and technical terms to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to shape the direction of a new product, Turbo Tax Live Business.

We need highly motivated individuals with business tax preparation experience, excellent communication skills, and an active, unrestricted credential (CPA/EA/Practicing Attorney) to help customers complete their taxes using Intuit Turbo Tax Business products. The successful candidate will manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations and possess strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal returns.

What

You Will Do
  • Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary business information responsibly.
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to provide accurate answers to customers using everyday language.
  • Work virtually, using video communications software to interact with customers.
  • Help Turbo Tax Business customers by providing tax advice, full service return preparation, product/software inquiries, tax calculations, and filing extensions.
  • Create high‑quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence through deep empathy and expertise in business tax preparation and books‑to‑tax accounting entries.
  • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and return preparation.
  • Document customer interactions.
  • Continuously meet company KPIs and Big Bet goals.
  • Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.
What You Need
  • Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws, evidenced by 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120‑S) for at least 20 clients per season using commercial tax software.
  • Minimum 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per year in a practice or retail setting (preferred).
  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week across three or more days.
  • Bookkeeping experience with books‑to‑tax preparation (strongly preferred).
  • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers (strongly preferred).
  • Must possess or obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
  • Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Knowledge of Circular 230.
  • Proficiency with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
  • Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools professionally and confidently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must have/will obtain internet connection meeting Intuit security criteria.
  • Must reside in the United States.
Compensation

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package and a strong pay‑for‑performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is as follows:

  • Bay Area, California $31.10 – $35.50
  • Southern California $31.10 – $35.50
  • Colorado $29.60 – $34.10
  • Hawaii $31.10 – $35.50
  • Illinois $29.60 – $34.10
  • Maryland $29.60 – $34.10
  • Massachusetts $31.10 – $35.50
  • Minnesota $26.60 – $33.80
  • New Jersey $31.10 – $35.50
  • New York $31.10 – $35.50

This position is eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits under Intuit’s programs. Pay offerings are based on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, and work location.
