The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations of the Bodega, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining full compliance with all applicable regulations. This role provides essential financial support to management through in-depth analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation. The Senior Accountant plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic business decisions.

• Oversee all daily operations within the Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and perform account reconciliations for the General Ledger.
• Review and analyze expenses, revenues, and costs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets, bank reconciliations, and cash flow reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Provide detailed monthly financial reports to management and ownership.
• Ensure timely reporting and auditing of all business taxes, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist the General Manager with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Supervise and guide accounting staff, including AR, AP, Payroll, and other team members.
• Conduct data-driven financial analyses, comparing budgeted versus actual performance to support management decisions.
• Ensure all accounting and financial activities adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Supervises:
Staff Accountant(s), AR / AP Clerks, and Payroll personnel.
