Staff Accountant – Miami-Fort Lauderdale
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build their experience within a strong corporate environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Assist with AP, AR, and other general accounting functions as needed
- Partner with accounting and finance team members on special projects and process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1+ years of accounting experience required
- Public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience
- Ideally a combination of public accounting and private/corporate accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
