Accounting Assistant

Accounting Assistant to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate is organized and comfortable handling daily accounting transactions.

+ Process vendor invoices, verify coding, and assist with payments.

+ Prepare customer invoices, apply payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.

+ Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.

+ Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.

+ Research and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies.

+ Maintain accurate accounting records and organized files.

+ Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.

+ Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting inquiries.

Requirements

+ 3 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

+ Experience preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations.

+ Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.

+ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through.

+ Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
